“Ngelayo Carik Makai” invites you to join us in exploring Sarawak’s culinary jewels in Semenanjung Malaysia. “Ngelayo” in Sarawak Malay means walking or a casual journey, similar to “merayau” in Bahasa Malaysia while “Carik” means to search. “Makai” in Iban means eating or “Makan” in Bahasa.

This activity will be a Sarawak Food Journey by the committee of Jaringan Diaspora Sarawak (JDS). Special guests will be making appearance for each different restaurant. The visits, comments and photographs/video will be share at JDS website and social media.

The primary objective of this activity is to introduce JDS to Sarawak’s restaurant in Malaya and on the same time promotes their business to the members of JDS, Sarawak Diaspora globally and the world at large.
